How to estimate amount of flooring needed:
1) Measure the width and length of each room, closet and hallway to be carpeted. Be sure to measure half way into doorways and into bay windows or other such areas in each room.
2) Multiple the width (in feet and inches) times the length (in feet and inches) to arrive at the number of square feet. Example: Living Room is 15 feet wide by 20 feet 6 inches long 15 ft. x 20.5 ft = 307.5 square feet
3) Add the square footage for each area to be covered to arrive at the total amount needed.
