Care And Maintenance
Care & Maintenance:
We take great care in the manufacturing of the flooring product to make sure it won’t wear out or get ruined with everyday use but to protect your investment we recommend you use these helpful tips.
Furniture legs, glides and casters can scratch and dent your floor, we recommend you use specially made felt protectors or furniture coasters to prevent scratches and dents. Dust and dirt tracked onto your floor acts like sandpaper to your finish. Place an entry rug at every outdoor entrance. And use area rugs in high traffic areas.
We recommend the use of Polycare (similar to Swiffer) dry mop system. You also vacuum your new floor, the vacuum head must be a brush or felt type. Be certain the wheels of the vacuum are clean and does not damage the finish.
DO NOT USE A VACUUM WITH A BEATER BAR HEAD.
Domestic pets’ nails can scratch and dent your floor. It is a good idea to keep your pets nails well groomed.
Clean up spills and spots immediately with a damp cloth. Damp mop your floor regularly to remove extra stubborn dirt and grease. Never wet mop or flood your floor with water or other water based products as this can severely damage the floor.
The use of oil soaps, furniture dusting spray, liquid or paste wax products can dull your floors finish and make further cleaning and refurbishing difficult.
Remove shoes with spiked or damaged heels before walking on the floor. Some types of high heel shoes may cause indentations in the floor. High heels worn by an average woman can exert 8,000 pounds of pressure per square inch.
